Purpose

Engineering Leadership Coaching is designed for anyone with leadership responsibility, including Engineering Managers, senior ICs and leaders navigating increased scope, complexity or organizational pressure.

This is a subscription-based engagement focused on your immediate needs. It works best for experienced managers, leaders navigating situational challenges or alumni of the Mentorship program.

Sessions are agenda-free and driven by you. The goal is clarity, perspective and decision-making confidence.

What This Is Not

This is not a structured mentorship program, training course or performance remediation plan. If you are looking to fundamentally change how you operate as a leader, the Mentorship Program is likely a better fit.

Common Coaching Topics

  • Navigating difficult people conversations.
  • Managing up or across the organization.
  • Pressure-testing strategic decisions.
  • Sense-making after incidents or reorgs.

Coaching Cadence

Coaching is offered on a weekly or bi-weekly cadence. Pricing reflects rhythm and availability, not a bank of hours.

Some months may include additional sessions due to calendar alignment, with no change in pricing.

Scheduling Flexibility

Coaching sessions are scheduled as a recurring cadence. If a session is missed due to holidays, illness, or scheduling conflicts, it does not need to be “made up.”

The value of coaching comes from continuity over time, not session-by-session accounting.

How Coaching Differs From Mentorship

Coaching is unstructured and agenda-driven by the participant. Mentorship follows a defined curriculum and progression over a fixed period.

Both can be valuable, but they serve different needs at different moments.
